Do you really need nicotine in the electronic cigarette cartridge?

It has now been almost a week since my 20ml bottle of Virginia flavoured, no-nicotine eJuice arrived. I have been using the 901PCC product and refilling the cartridges with eJuice, but up until now the eJuice I was using contained 'medium' strength or 11mg of nicotine. I was much impressed with the amount of vapour/smoke that this no nicotine eJuice produced and I have found that this Virginia flavour is the closest thing that I have found to the taste of a real tobacco Canadian cigarette.

I must admit, I had 'tongue in cheek' when I was reading reports about there being no need for nicotine in the eJuice to help a smoker quit; but after about a week of using this no nicotine eJuice I find that I am using the electronic cigarette in 'waves' when the urge hits me. I have actually been using the electronic cigarette loaded with this no-nicotine eJuice only once or twice a day, and usually in the evening or while playing online poker.

I honestly feel comfortable telling folks that they don't need nicotine in the cartridges to get over the 'urge' to light up. I am very impressed.
